Acute Admissions

General Practitioners may refer patients for admission to The Valley Private hospital 24 hours a day seven days a week.

This can be done by contacting a consultant to arrange admission or via the Emergency Department.

The Emergency Department:

• Provides an after hours service for GP Practices in the area
• Manages an on call consultant roster covering major specialties to ensure there is always a consultant available to accept and treat acute admissions

Elective Admissions

Elective admissions are arranged through the office of an accredited medical practitioner. In most cases, a General Practitioner refers a patient to a consultant at their rooms where an elective admission is arranged, if appropriate.
